Life's been a bit of an uphill battle this week. It started last weekend when my plans got changed at the last minute, which is never a good thing to do to me! Every day this week kept testing my patients. On top of it all, the weather sucked dog ass. The sun did not come out until yesterday and business suffered because of it. Thanks allot Mother nature, your a fucking bitch.
I did manage to get in my private Veteran's Day celebration. It's private so I'm not going to go into detail, but everyone of us should thank a veteran for his or hers service.
On a positive note, I came across one of my favorite documentaries. Long Way Round is playing on Current TV on Dish Network. Its on Tuesdays at 9/8c time. I know Current TV sucks, but hey, its a great show and anytime i can catch good motorcycling on the tube, I'll watch it. I recently read that Charlie Boorman has been treated for testicular cancer. Hey check your nads....and check them often!
Speaking of motorcycles and TV, The current season of Sons Of Anarchy is winding down. This year has been a dud as far as I'm concerned. To complicated, to confusing, and off track . I'm sorry, the whole Irish, IRA bullshit seems outdated. Maybe there is still some violence in Ireland, but for the most part i thought that has been settled and quited down for years. I'm sure the Irish board of tourism is fucking pissed off at Sutter for this years writing. It sure makes me want to go to Ireland and rent a bike...not! Oh and the worst kept secret is Sonny Bargers cameo on the last episode. Sonny is pissed at HBO for the royal screwing he got by them and their "1%" show and i guess this is a little payback. I'm happy they brought in someone from the biker world to lend a little authenticity to the show. Who ever they had for technical advisers was not doing a great job. Some of the interaction between the rival clubs, and the Irish left me scratching my head. I kept poking Mrs Crusty and saying "Are they that stupid?". She kept getting annoyed with me.
Not much else interesting to report. It's always a little sad when the season for many people comes to and end. They take off their leather jackets and blend back into society. For better or worse we are stuck with part time bikers. Even I miss them (and their business). The weatherman is saying we are in store for a nice weekend. I'm hoping to get a couple of hours of saddle time in after some yard work. I hope you can get out and enjoy yourself this weekend.
Ride Safe- Crusty
