Monday mornings suck

Being middle aged is weird (ok late middle aged...they do say we are living longer these days right?). On one hand any morning you wake up and you don't have some new ache or pain is a good morning, yet I'm still young enough to hate having to get up and go to work on Monday morning. Maybe that feeling will go away if someday I'm lucky enough to retire. But for now after having a GREAT weekend like this one, Monday sucks.

We rode the bikes out to a swap meet Sunday and had a fun time. I did see the very first glimpses of Fall color in the leaves. (this may also be contributing to my slightly funky mood today). Even though Fall is the best time of the year to ride, it still marks the beginning of the end to the riding season. At least for those pussys that put their bikes away in the Winter.

Yesterday's weather was raw, very cloudy and there were a few sprinkles now and then. It was still a great day for riding compared to the 90 degree weather we had just a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it's just me, but i hate having to slather myself with sunscreen and then spend the day trying to keep that shit from dripping in my eyes and having all the road grime stick to me. So I'll take cool and raw any day!

I tried to take some pictures with my new cell phone, but i don't know how to get them onto my computer just yet. God i hate cell phones and i pray every day that they will discover that they are bad for our health and everyone stops using them. I did enjoy watching the poor lady at the swap meet who was in charge if selling coffee. Picture 300 bikers cold and tired from riding to the meet, standing in line to buy a cup of coffee and she only has one little home brew coffee pot and it won't keep up! To every one's defence, no fights or bullshit broke out and everyone was joking and enjoying the day.

After a couple of hundred miles it felt good to get home. Damn Mrs Crusty makes me horny as hell when i watch her riding beside me. We got home and the house was quiet and we spent the evening reminding each other that we are still young at heart.

Compared to Sunday....Mondays suck.
